Hello World!!!

Hi, I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog!

So, I made some New Year's resolutions (I'll spare you my long, unachievable list), and starting a blog was one of them...

...which could have been a mistake; 'cause even though I like to write, I'm not a big "computer person."  Actually, I set out to build my site on Dec. 31st...and after two hours fruitlessly fiddling with the computer (feeling pretty stupid the whole while), I began to wonder if I'd give up on my New Year's resolution before the New Year even started...

...that's when Katie came into the picture.  She's my awesome, techno (and dare I add younger?) sister.  She does not fear El Computador, but has bested it in many a fray.  She volunteered her services, and voilĂ ! I now have a blog all my own...

...well, sort of, anyway.  This isn't going to be all about me (hint: I'm BORING).  I'll talk about my three sisters - Emori, Katie (you've met her), and Maura - and about my parents.  I'll talk about our farm, our projects, my artwork...

...just LIVING in general.  For me, it's not a science...
...it's an art - an art that I don't think I'll ever truly master; but through the strength of Jesus Christ, I pray that I can run my race on earth faithfully.

  1. Callie, I am so looking forward to your posts! (my New Year's list if ginormous too!)

Your artwork is truly beautiful and you have such a gift. I can hardly wait to see more of your projects. And your writing is a delight to read, too-you made me laugh-"El Computador"!! :D (I'm with you there! As Wesley would say, I'm "like a hog staring at a wrist watch" :) Ah, livin' and learnin'...)

Callie, your love for the Lord is so beautiful. May He bless you richly as you continue to honor Him. Hope to see y'all real soon! We miss y'all up here.

    Much love,

    Adeline

  2. Oh, thanks, Adeline! What an encouragement. I so appreciate your taking the time to look through my stuff (funny you'd use the "hog and wrist watch" saying; Daddy uses that one too! I think it's hilarious:)!

I just read your recent post on Mortonclan! So inspiring; and your writing just takes the cake...makes me feel like you're sitting here in the room with me.

Hope we see each other soon, too!

    Yours,
    Callie
