A Spring Day

I know the calender insists that it's January, but this morning I saw the robins pecking through the fields, felt the temp to be in the 60's, smelled the damp grass starting to green out.  Seemed more like March...

...the springtime feeling persisted as I watched all our new lambs playing around in the field today.  Thought I'd share some more pics:

Ewes and babies are congregating around what used to be a hay bale.
(To the left are our two bucks, Tomo and Blueboy).

Mama ewe was having trouble supplying these two cuties with milk, so Emori (whose hand you see before you) is bottle feeding them.

Emori and Katie, preparing to bring in the sheep for the night.  It's so balmy outside that they're wearing t-shirts (Emori and Katie, that is, not the sheep : -D )!

The end of an enormously beautiful day...for all I know it could snow tomorrow (well, okay, I do know that's unlikely), but I formally declare this day to be a spring day.  Even if it is in the middle of winter :-)

Oh, I just had to add a little P.S. picture of Sadie our dog, hitting the hay!

I don't know if you remember me or not, but I met you at the Morton's 2010/2011 ball.

Glad to find your blog! :)
